During his visit to Benya Cables Factory for Optical Fiber Cables located in “General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone” (SCZONE) in Ain Sokhna, General Eng. Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), was briefed on the most recent developments regarding the factory in his meeting with Eng. Ahmed Mekky, Chairman and CEO of Benya Group. During the visit, he inspected the latest production lines and the construction and civil works in the factory. He also had conversations with Benya Cables staff and discussed ideas for developing production lines.
Benya Cables Factory for Optical Fiber Cables is the largest factory of its kind in Egypt, the Arab region, and Africa, with a 60,000 square meters area. The factory is currently in the production trial phase. It is planned to cover Egypt’s needs for optical fiber cables as well as export to other countries in the region. This comes in line with the Egypt’s plan to boost exports, localize the technology industry, support local manufacturing, and make the most of the slogan (Made in Egypt).
